My Uncle Rodney had lots and lots of Chow Chows. He let my mom pick out one of the babies in a litter. (Being my mom, me and my younger brother all have red hair) My mom picked out this red haird Chow dog and we named her Missy.

She was a loving dog and we played with her all the time. She was very protective of her family and our friends and relatives, but if someone came around that was not supposed to, she would let them know in a New York Minute!!

We only tought her one trick and that was to shake hands. She was very loving to us kids and was always so excited to see us, that she would run the whole back yard in circles as fast as she could.

Later in life she was getting older, losing teeth and was becoming blind. My best friend at the time, had his birthday on September 15th which we walked home from school to go to my house to play basketball in my backyard. I jumped the fence and was ready to go, until I found Missy laying on the ground. She passed away of old age. My neighbors came over as me and my brothers and mom were crying and they helped my dad bury her in our backyard. My neighbor who never took off his cowboy hat, took it off, said some nice words and then a prayer.

She's still buried there today with a grave marker that I have made for, out of wood.

I like to thank *Love Always Renee* for sponsoring Missy's memorial.
