Lois K. Day, wife of the late Samuel Houston Day died June 26, 2008. Mrs. Day, formerly of Mobile and Spanish fort, Alabama, had lived with her great niece, Mary (Roger) Sylvestre in Wallingford, CT for the past two years. She was born in McCullough, Alabama on June 27, 1912 to the late Thomas H. and Frances S. (Wasdin) Kyser. She was preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters. Mrs. Day worked at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile, Alabama for twenty years and was a beloved member of the Galilee Primitive Baptist Church in Stapleton, Alabama for many years. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces, family members, friends and church members. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home. Interment will follow at McCullough Cemetery, McCullough, Alabama. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
