John T. Holloway was born 17 Aug 1820 in Clarke Co. GA. Moved to Rusk Co. TX in 1848. Died in Upshur Co. TX on 1 Apr 1877.
Son of David Holloway and Mary Hardigree. Grandson of Thomas Holloway and Joanna Whitaker, and of John Hardigree.
Married Mary Adeline Gartrell 9 Jan 1844 in Clarke Co.
Children: James J., Emily, William Chandler, Lucy E., Mary Frances. Mary Adeline died 1 Oct 1859 and is buried in Christian Union Cemetery in Rusk Co. TX.
John T. married Mary Ann Read, widow of Mr. Ballard, on 4 Mar 1862 in Upshur Co. TX.
Children: Texas Virginia, A. Florence (buried with her parents), Robert Fanning, Julia A. (buried with her parents), John Marshall, Sarah "Sally" Elizabeth, Ella Leonora.
John T. was a farmer and a music teacher, and a Disciples of Christ minister.
