Perry R. Sampson, 66, of Altizer, died at his home Tuesday morning following an extended illness. Born June 6, 1889 in Calhoun County, a son of William and Mary Kirby Sampson. He was a carpenter by trade.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Sampson of Altizer; three daughters, Miss Monna Sampson of Columbus, O., Miss Merna Sampson, Miss Jane Sampson, both at home; one son, Loren Merle Sampson of Parkersburg; one sister, Mrs Orland Buchanan of Parkersburg; four brothers, Homer Sampson of Spencer, John Sampson of Parkersburg, Howard Sampson of Menglo Park, Calif, Ira Sampson address unknown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Hur Methodist Church at Hur with the Rev. Ruby Wilkinson, assisted by the Rev. Glendon McKee officiating. Burial will be in the Hur Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Hardman-Conrad Funeral Home in Spencer until time of services.
