Una MIckey, 98, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born June 10, 1910, in West Union, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Isa (Tremaine) Bigelow. Una married Albert E. Mickey February 19, 1927 in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1988. She worked for Viking Pump, Rankins Seat Covers and in housekeeping at UNI.

Una is survived by one son, Lee E. (Linda) Mickey of Iowa City; two daughters, Mary Miller and Leona (Tom) Taylor both of Cedar Falls; one daughter in law, Joan Mickey of Hertford, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren; one half brother, Kenneth Bigelow of Cedar Falls; two half sisters, Marjorie Maisenbach of Eureka, California and Irma Thorpe of DeWitt, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Edward; two sisters, her twin, Ula Duel and Wavia Gilbert; one half brother, Lyle Bigelow, four grandsons and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, at First United Methodist Church with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services on Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church.
