Mrs. Minnie M. Jones, 78, of 1501 Liberty St., Wilson, formerly of the Harlan House, Easton, died Sunday in Gracedale, Nazareth R.1. She was the widow of Russell S. Jones Sr.
She was a seamstress for Strongwear Pants, Easton, for 17 years before retiring in 1968.
Born in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Eleanore (Counterman) Ace.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Easton.
Surviving are two sons, William H. Sr. of Hope, R.I., and Russell S. Jr. of Cranston, R.I.; two daughters, Mrs. Marian Ostrander of Easton and Mrs. Mary Ellen Smith, with whom she resided; a brother, Clayton H. of Wind Gap; 22 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Loretta M. Harman in 1976, and Mrs. Ruth L. Hoops in 1983.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton streets, Easton.
