Resident of Fremont Entered into rest on June 18, 2008, in Fremont, CA. Ralph was born April 29, 1930 in French Camp, CA to Ralph William and Pearl Crawford. He graduated from High School in Hanford, CA where he married his high school sweetheart, Adonna Elaine Hobson, in 1948. In 1960 a job transfer brought the family to the Bay Area. After the untimely passing of Adonna in 1993, he met and married Dorothy L. Smith. Ralph had a lifelong passion for boating that started when he was a Sea Scout in Stockton, CA. and was an active boater in the Delta for over 20 years. An accountant by profession, he was proud of the fact that he worked until he was 72 years old. Ralph is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, and children Charles (Sharlene), Douglas (Karen), Debra and grandchildren Mark,Timothy,Cheryl, David, Kristina, Nic, Jeff , Scott, and stepchildren Ed Smith (Joy), Sue Abuan (Mariano), Steve Smith (deceased), sister-in-law Mildred Crawford, cousins Eleanor Kampschmidt and Ken Crawford and many great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, June 24th at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544.
