OBITUARY - DES MOINES TRIBUNE, MAY 19, 1976

EVERETT L. TYLER
Everett L. Tyler, 59, of 2644 Indianapolis Ave., died Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital of complications following surgery. He had been ill two days.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in the Canfield Cemetery near Ivy in Polk County.
Mr. Tyler was born in Roanoak, Mo., and lived in Hartshorn, Mo., before moving to Des Moines 36 years ago. He was a mechanic for the City of Des Moines and a member and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 738, and past Polk County Council Commander of the V.F.W. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris M.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Figgins of Winterhaven, Calif.; two sons, James of Milpitas, Calif., and Charles E. of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. M. Agnes Riley of Hartshorn and Mrs. S. Edith Mathis of Lake Worth, Fla.; three brothers, James W. of Des Moines, Benjamin H. of St. Louis, Mo., and Charles A. of St. Petersburg, Fla., and five grandchildren.
