She was the seventh of eight children of William Blankenship and Della Ann Harden Blankenship.
She was reared in Mississippi and later moved to southeast Oklahoma.
On April 1, 1950 she married Douglas Tucker and together they reared four children. They lived in Norman for nearly 40 years.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas in 1985; one son, Dean in 1974; two sisters, Edith Powell and Beulah Mote; three brothers, Louis, George and Austin Blankenship and one grandson, Darrell Barnard.
Survivors include one son, and his fiance; two daughters and their husbands; two sisters; six grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral services for Cora Tucker, 71, of Purcell were held March 15, 2006 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buck Jordan officiating. Interment was at Norman IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
