Gilbert M. Querry, lifelong resident of Hares Valley, died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital at 8 o'clock Thursday evening, December 16, 1943. He had been a patient in the hospital for the past week.

Mr. Querry was born on September 19, 1869, in Union Township, Huntingdon County, hence he was aged at the time of death 74 years, 2 months, and 27 days. He was the son of Benjamin and Eleanor Dell Querry.

On January 14, 1903, he was united in marriage to Bertha Dell in a ceremony performed by the Rev. G. W. Eminhizer. His wife preceded him in death in 1938.

Surviving are one daughter and three sons: Melvin Querry, Luden Querry, Martha, Mrs. Richard Hamilton; and Irvin Querry, all of Mapleton R.D. Six grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Querry, who was a farmer by occupation, was a member of the Beech Run Church of the Brethren and also served as a trustee of the church.

On Sunday afternoon, December 19, a prayer service will be held at the home in Hares Valley at 2 o'clock, followed by the funeral service at Bowman's Chapel in charge of the Rev. Martin Scholten. Interment will be made in the adjoin cemetery. Friends are being received at the late home. Green's funeral service.
