Mrs. Evelyn I. Magers, 75, of Ridgeville, died early Monday morning at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was born in Frederick County, a daughter of the late Andrew and Emma Hatfield Smith.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Snowden of Mt. AIry, Mrs. Calvin Gartrell of Damascus, Mrs. Paul Frizzell of Mt. Airy and Mrs. Maurice Beall of Mt. Airy; two sons Howard Magers of Mt. Airy and Orvil Magers of Damascus; one brother, Harry Smith of Ellicott City; five half-sisters, Mrs. Viola Harrell of Lewistown Pa., Mrs. Anne Gurton of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Hazel Roherbaugh of York, Pa., Mrs. Edith Keffer of York, Pa., and Mrs. Ruby Frye of New York; two half-brothers, Ira Smith of New Jersey and Walter Smith of York, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.

She was member of the Mt. Airy Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary; Damascus Travel Club; and Daughters of America Lodge No. 64.

Friends may call at the Waltz Funeral Home, Liberty Road in Winfield Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ridgeville United Methodist Church. The Rev. R. Guinn Lacy pastor of the church, will officiate.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Mt. Airy.
