Frank was born in Nebraska, the son of Mr. & Mrs. George A. Dorn. He died at a local hospital in Greenville, Texas.

Frank was resident of the Sherman, Texas area most of his life and attended local Sherman schools.

On 9 April 1929, he married Miss Mary Martine Abell, in Forth Worth, Texas.

He owned and operated the Dorn Barber shop for 15 years until his retirement.
He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church.

He was survived by his wife; son, Frank Joseph Dorn Jr. of Bedford, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Bettye Sue Bacile of Tyler, Texas, Mrs. Mary Jane Mulkey of San Angelo, Texas and Mrs. Ginger Elliott of Sherman; three sisters, Mrs. Bettye Boling and Mrs. Katheryn O'Hanlon, both of Sherman, and Mrs. Annie Flock of Garden Grove, California; and 13 grandchildren.

Rosary was recited at Renfro-Barrett Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Reverend Emil Slovachek at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Pallbearers were Fred Korioth, Joe Duval, Leland Gibson, Tye Mulkey, Bob Elliott and Namie Bacile.
