Mary and Waldron C. Jones were married on February 16, 1913 in Robertson County, Texas. They were married under an Oak tree with the Church Congregation being their witness. They were married until my grandfather's death in 1989. They had 9 children.
Mary was the daughter of John Robert Jenkins and Ellen Nora Johnson. Her parents are buried in the Heards Prairie Cemetery in Robertson County, Texas. Two of her children, Lois and Alton are buried at the Heards Prairie Cemetery as well. She never got over the loss of her children.
She was a very kind and gentle lady. My grandfather always had something funny to say. I still miss my grandparents.
