Mrs. Virgie Mae Troutman, 78, of Battletown, died Thurs, Dec. 13, at her residence.
Born in meade Co. March 26, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Dan Chism and Biddie Balina Greer Chism.
Survivors include 5 children, Mrs. Wanda Oelze, Mrs Nellie Ruth Allen and Mrs Estelle Cunningham, all of Battletown, Andrew Troutman and Louis Troutman, both of Louisville; 2 step-children, Mrs Alberta McDonough, Murray and Robert Earl Troutman, Indiana; 2 ssisters, Mrs Beulah Daugherty, Payneville, and Mrs Ida Bullock, Battletown. a brother Raymond Chism, Battletown; 25 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sun. Dec 16, from the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Mitccham officiating. Interment was in Parr Cemetery directed by Jenkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Charles Oelze, Charles Cunningham, Robert Cunningham, Timmy Troutman, Danny Troutman, Tony Troutman, Kent Allen and Bernie Allen.
