This is a memorial, not a grave marker. Sgt John Drummond was wounded 7 Nov 1811 at the Battle of Tippecanoe. He died on 10 Nov 1811 while General Harrison's forces were traveling back to Vincennes. He was buried near "Big Pine Creek" along the Wabash River, near what is now Attica, IN. The Medsker Cemetery was selected as the location for the memorial monument because his son, John Drummond, and many descendants are buried there.
