Mrs. Thornton was a native of Philadelphia, Pa. She formerly worked for Edward Hineman and Crystal Springs Shirt Factory before retiring as a sales clerk for T.W.L stores and Super D. Drugs. Mrs. Thornton was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Everett Thornton; sons, daughters, sisters, 24 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.
