Arch Green Weddle, 86, 219 High Street, died Wednesday at Somerset City Hospital after a short illness.

He was born in Nancy on September 16, 1887, the son of Willis and Mary Cain Weddle, both deceased.

He married the former Bertha Eaton in Somerset following the death of his first wife, Wilmouth Thomas Morris. His wife survives.

Survivors include 13 children, Edward Weddle, Monticello, Illinois, Lowell Weddle, Russell Springs, Mollie Whitaker, Cincinnati, Ohio, Ralph Weddle, Deland, Illinois, Eula Gill, Nicholasville, Hazel Kaiser, Joliet, Illinois, Emma Cody, LaPort, Indiana, Thelma Burton, Farmer City, Illinois, Maxine Davis, Anna, Illinois, Shirley Bell, Louisville, Mary Roberts, Somerset, and Helen Rose and Anna Faye Stevens, both of Indianapolis; two stepchildren, Lloyd Dyer and Norma Covley, Shelbyville, Indiana, one sister, Nannie Floyd, Somerset; 59 grandchildren; and 54 great-grandchildren.

He was a stone crusher with Somerset Stone and attended the Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with Rev. A.A. Farris officiating.

Burial will be in the Gray's Chapel Cemetery in Nancy.
