JAY LYNN HOLLIS, 91, Of Humble, TX passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. He was born on September 19, 1916. He was the third of twelve children born to Mervin and Virgia Hollis. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lola Mae, son Jimmy, and son-in-law, Gerald Burke. Jay is survived by three daughters, Jeanette Burke of Humble, Margaret Henderson and fiancee Gary Bryant of The Woodlands, Kim Ward and husband Mike of Humble, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. After retiring from Southern Pacific Railroad, Jay became an avid golfer. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, June 13, 2008 in the Chapel with Rev. Charles Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble.
