Mr. Waylon Dayton Lowe, 79, of Quitman, died at his home on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, after a lengthy illness.
His funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Revs. Milton Pray and Tom Lowe officiating. interment was in Twin Cities Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Tuesday evening.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vennie Stinnett; father, Otis Lowe; brother, James Lowe; and granddaughter, Kendra Lowe.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Angie Barnette Lowe; sons, Randall Lowe and wife, Teresa, of West Monroe, Dwayne Lowe and wife, Margaret, of Lufkin, Texas; daughters, Sonya Simmons and husband, Rudolph, of West Monroe, Renea Straughner of Lufkin, Texas, Sheri Randolph of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Lurline Farmer and husband, Fred, of Ruston; brothers, Owen Lowe and wife, Cheryl, of West Monroe, Wayne Lowe and wife, Bonnie, of Jonesboro, Royce Lowe and wife, Etta, of Star City, Ark., Troy Lowe and wife, Patsy, of Ruston; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Green, Caleb Simmons, Richard May, Tyler Lowe, Lynn Choate, Jr., and Jonathan Ross.
