Death of Mrs. John B. Bever.
__Mrs. John B. Bever died at her home last evening at half past 7 o'clock. Death came suddenly and yet it was not unexpected to those who had been watching at her bedside during the past few days. For six years, or more, Mrs. Bever had been a sufferer from heart troubles. Three weeks ago she became ill enough to be confined to her bed. It is thought that an attack of grip aggravated her malady of long standing. Death came to Mrs. Bever peacefully, almost like a benediction after a life of much well-doing and much suffering. She had fallen asleep, but awoke at the ringing of the neighboring church bell. She reached out her hand, smiled and soon thereafter passed away without any apparent pain or regret. Were one to comply with the wishes of the deceased, often expressed before her death, he would write nothing more than that she had passed into eternal rest at such or such an hour. But the hearts of those who knew Mrs. Bever, who knew how noble and gentle she was, how helpful to all who came into contact with her, how patient she was in suffering, how cheerful though often in the shadow of death, how much good she did, and how much more good she felt in her heart then her weakened body could carry out - the hearts of all who knew her thus yearn to express something of what she was.
__Mrs. Bever's own relatives who are living are, her sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Marsh of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. John S. George of Milwaukee, and her brothers, Mr. Robert Morton, of New York, and Mr. David Morton of Wisconsin.
__Her husband, Mr. John B. Bever, and her sisters, Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. George, were with Mrs. Bever at the time of her death.
