A resident of Valparaiso for 20 years, formerly of Gary, IN. Member of St. Iakovos Greek Orthodox Church of Valparaiso, a retired US Steel welder & member of US Steelworkers Union Local #1014, a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War & member of American Legion Post #100 of Lake Station, VFW Post #988 of Valparaiso & American Legion Post #260 of Portage; Survived by wife of 50 years, Nikkie Aguilar of Valparaiso, married Jan. 26, 1958; daughters, Carol (Javier) Garcia of Valparaiso, IN, Connie (Jeff) Webb of Portage, IN; grandchildren, Rob, Nicole & Richard (Katrina) Garcia, Jeffery Webb; great grandchildren, Dezmond & Danicka Garcia; granddog, Nacho; brothers, Tom (Christine) Aguilar of Gary, IN, Anthony (Rose) Aguilar of Gary, IN, Joe (Carol) Aguilar of Hebron, IN; sisters, Jessie (Martin) Gomez of Gary, IN, Maryann Torres of Portage, IN, Irene (Jose Jr.) Rosas of Merrillville, IN; many nieces & nephews, dearest friends, Bob, Shirley & Ryan Sappington.
