Henry "Hank" Robert Breshears December 25, 1925 ~ October 16, 2006 Lifetime Okanogan County resident, 80 year old Henry "Hank" Robert Breshears passed away at his Tonasket home Monday, October 16, 2006. Hank and his twin sister, Helen were born on Christmas Day in 1925, to Ezra and Lily Breshears at their homestead in Horse Spring Coulee. Growing up on the family cattle ranch, Hank began his education in the Toats Coulee Country School. In 1938, the Breshears family moved it's ranching operation to Bonaparte Creek, 15 miles outside of Tonasket, to the original site of the historic Lease Post Office.

This move allowed the children to attend Tonasket public schools where Hank continued his education into high school.

After high school, he worked the family's ranch full time. The father-son operation continued until Ezra's death, at which time Hank took over as owner-operator. Over the years, he maintained the home place, hosting periodic visits from extended family members and old friends who joined him for fishing and hunting seasons, holiday's and family gatherings.

Upon his retirement, the ranch sold, but Hank lived out the remainder of his life at the family home site. He is survived by his brother, Marion "Skip" Breshears of Newberg, OR; sister, Grace Rohde of Olympia, WA; eight nephews; ten nieces; twenty-one great-nephews; and twelve great-nieces. Hank was preceded in death by an infant brother; his parents, Ezra and Lily Breshears; elder brother, Archie Breshears; and sisters, Lennie Jones, Edith Burrell, Nora Thornton and Helen Gau.

At Hank's request, no services will be held. Interment will be at the Tonasket Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice. Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville in care of arrangements.
