The Baxter Bulletin, March 9, 1917 Issue;
Mrs. A.B. Hutson.
We wish to thank the many relatives and friends who bestowed upon us their thanks of love and friendship during the long illness and death of our dear wife and mother.
Mrs. A.B. Hutson died Feb. 12, 1917. She leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. She leaves a husband, 8 children, and 12 grandchildren, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Her children are: Charley, Willie, Robert Larence, Alma and Mrs. Robert Finley of Advance, Mrs. Riley Beavers of Buford, and Mrs. Wm. Drew of Ft. Worth.
Her brothers are, Bob, Hard, Wm., Bud and Tobe, her sister, Mrs. John Felton.
She was the daughter of Berry and Sarah Hudson that died in 1902-1911.
Mrs. Hutson was a bright Christian example for people to follow. She joined the Baptist church when 15 years of age, and some time ago went to the Methodist church. She has always tried to serve her Savior, and was loved by all who knew her. We have one great consulation to know she is at rest. When death came creeping upon her she knew she was going to leave this world of sin and sorrow, and called her son, Robert to her bed and told him how to live and he would meet her in heaven. She then called Charley and Willie but her voice was too low and quivering for them to understand her.
A precious one from us is gone. A voice we loved is still.
A place is vacant in our home, which never can be filled.
