Charlette Belle Forbes was a waitress and seamstress for most of her life and enjoyed cooking.
Born Sept. 25, 1910, in Waddington, she was a daughter of Emerson and Anna Mattice Barkley .
She married Arnold S. Barney in June 1928. He died April 26, 1953. She married Howard Forbes on Oct. 30, 1955, in Ogdensburg. He died Dec. 20, 1979.
Surviving are a son, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, June White and Dorothy Staccio, four brothers, Arthur, William, Clifford and Peter Barkley, and a sister, Helen McGill, died before her.
