Donald was born to Charles A. and Mabel L. (Wiley) Adams. He married the former Ellen Henseler on April 12, 1952, in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Frances Adams; and three brothers, Howard C., Charles R. and Harry Adams.
He was a gunner in the United States Navy during World War II.
He retired after 31 years with Wahlfeld Manufacturing in Peoria as a glazer. He was a woodworker and was involved with his brother in Adams Upholstering in the Peoria area.
