Surviving; sons, James T. Petty, Jr. of Union, Jackie R. Petty of Buffalo; daughters, Mrs. Ruby Varner, Mrs. Joyce King, Mrs. Peggy Ray of Buffalo and Mrs. Mildred Austin of Monarch; half-brother, Earl Frost of Union; two grandchildren raised in the home; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
