R.C. "Bob" Bain, 76, of Englewood, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 24, 2003, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.

A native of Athens and lifelong resident of Englewood, he was a son of the late Hugh and Jesse Rayburn Bain and was a member of North Englewood Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason with Manilla Lodge No. 633 F&AM and was preceded in death by one son, Ricky H. Bain; and one great-grandson, Jalyn Hood. He was an employee of Bowater Paper Company for 38 years where he worked in the finishing and chipping department.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean Ledford Bain of Englewood; one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Mike Gentry of Madisonville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donny and Elaine Bain of Englewood, Ronnie and Kathy Bain of Athens, and Jimmy and Renee Bain of Athens; one brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Jerrie Bain of Athens; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Katherine Watson of Englewood, an Dianne and Bill Constant of Englewood; seven grandchildren, Tammy Bain, Kara Robinson, Caycie Bain, Chelsey Bain, Karl Bain, Jerreth Bain and Matthew Bain; and three great-grandchildren, Chandler Hood, Abby Bain and Chase Hood.

Funeral Services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Benny Goodman officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sunrise Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Ziegler Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.
