"Mrs. Mary C. Jacobs died at her home the evening of March 30th at 8:35, age 90 years, 3 months and 27 days.

She was born in Sullivan County, Missouri, December 3, 1846, being the last of a family of nine children. On February 28, 1869, she was united in marriage to J. S. Jacobs. To this union were born eleven children, five of whom preceded her in death.

Those who survive her departure are: an aged husband, J. S. Jacobs of the home; two daughters, Eva Warren of Browning, Mo., and Blanche Myers of Tacoma, Wash.; and four sons, Roy of Pendleton, Ore., Frank of Tacoma, Wash., Grover of Enumclaw, Wash., and Claude of Galt. Also twenty grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives, friends and neighbors.

Mrs. Jacobs was brought up in a Christian home and united with the Christian church at an early age, remaining a true Christian until her death.

Funeral services were conducted at Locust Valley Church on Friday, April 2nd, at two o'clock by Rev. Tate of Galt. The body was laid to rest in the new cemetery nearby." The Browning Leader-Record (Browning, Missouri), April 15, 1937
