He was born Sept. 28, 1914, to Benjamin F. and Nancy (George) Edwards in Jackson County, Kansas, where he received his early education. The family moved to Rock Island in 1933.
Mr. Edwards worked at Grand Coulee Dam throughout its construction.
He married Wanda Ball on Aug. 16, 1940, at Omak. They moved to Rock Island in 1942, and Mr. Edwards went to work for Puget Sound Power and Light, which later became Chelan County PUD. He retired in 1973. Mr. and Mrs. Edwards had lived in Wenatchee since that time.
Mr. Edwards was a member of the W.H. Jett Lodge No. 285 F&AM, and obtained the 14th degree in Scottish Rites Mason. He was a member and past commodore of the Lake Chelan Yacht Club, was a past president of the Lake Chelan Order of the Blue Gavel, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and a former member of the Boating Club of Wenatchee and the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, of the family home; a son, Ronald F. of Tonasket; a daughter, Linda Cole of Sandy, Ore.; a brother, Russell of Wenatchee; a sister, Selma Kovar of Clarkston; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
