MRS. ARNHOLT DIES ON VISIT
Local Woman Stricken Friday at Hospital in Mattoon, Ill.
Mrs. Eleanor C. Arnholt, 76, of Columbus died at the Methodist Memorial hospital at Mattoon, Ill., at 3:30 o'clock Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Arnholt had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Alfred H. Pardieck, at Mattoon, when she suffered a fall two weeks ago. She had been in ill health for several years.
Mrs. Arnholt made her home with her son, Norval H. Arnholt, Carr Hill road. She was the daughter of Christian and Mary Pardieck, born Sept. 25, 1875 in Jackson county and was the oldest of six children. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran church.
In 1895 she married Herman C. Arnholt, who preceded her in death in June of 1949.
Survivors are the son with whom she lived; the daughter, Mrs. Pardieck, Mattoon; two grandson, Robert L. and Donald D. Pardieck, Mattoon; a great-granddaughter, Kathy Lynn Pardieck; a sister, Mrs. Fred Mengler, and two brothers, Ed H. and Albert Pardieck of Jonesville.
One sister, Mrs. Laura Stanley, and one brother, Harry Pardieck, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday at the Hathaway funeral home. The Rev. A. E. Brauer will conduct the services.
The casket will be open Sunday noon until time of the services Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery.
