Charles S. Elzinga passed away on June 1, 2008 of Natural Causes.





He was born 27th May 1917 to Klaas Sybrens and Aafke Epema Elzinga in Harlingen, Friesland, Netherlands. He immigrated to the USA in 1924 with his parents. He graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City. He met Joyce Clark of Afton, WY and they married 28 June 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. He retired in 1982 from Low Cost Drug in Logan, Utah, where he had worked for 25 years. He is the father of 14 children; 76 grandchildren; 93 great-grand children and five great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John and sister Diana, a son, Alma Clark Elzinga, a daughter, Terry Ann Baker. He and Joyce fulfilled a mission to England from Aug 1988 to March 1990. He had many church callings: Logan Temple Officiator, High Priest group leader, Elders Quorum Pres., Seventies Pres., Sunday School Pres. and teacher many times. Counselor in Branch Pres., Cub Scout Master, and Home Teacher.





Surviving is his wife, Joyce; and 12 children, Marsha, Charles D., Susan, Carla, Brent, Elona Joy, Rose, Nona, Howard, Coralee, Blair and Wendy.





The Family will greet Friends on Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 23rd Ward Chapel, 625 North 300 East, with Viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
