Obituary in The Shreveport Times Dec. 27, 2002:

KEITHVILLE, LA - An angel took Mr. Boyd home to heaven at 8:30 a.m. Christmas Day. Services will be Saturday, December 28, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in Centuries Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Rodney Loose of Our Savior Lutheran Church will be officiating the service, where Mr. Boyd was a member. Visitation will be tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. at Centuries.

Mr. Boyd was born on August 2, 1920 in Lawrence County, Mississippi. He served his country during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. In 1970, he retired from the USAF after 30 years and was then employed with Willis-Knighton Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Quilla and Carnelia Boyd; brothers, Leroy and Bernice; and sisters, Norma Jean Roberts and Aline Boyd.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughters, Peggy Jensen and husband, Bob, Suzy Teekell and husband Hassell; a son, Michael Boyd and wife, Ginny; grandchildren, Julie Davis and husband Jamie, Stephanie Jensen, Jared and Alyson Boyd; a great grandson, Cade Davis; sisters, Eula and Elon Cothern and a brother, Dean Boyd.

He loved the Lord and was a loving, kind and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice nurses.
