"Jay" was the son of Violet Brooks Rampey Seeley and the late Marion Henry Rampey. Jay was a graduate of Liberty High School and Clemson University. He also received a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He also served his country in the United States Air Force. Jay died at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital at age 56.
