"Sue" La Fawn W.L. Keighley, 73, Overland Park, Kan., passed away May 29, 2008, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She was born Nov. 19, 1934, in Hutchinson, Kan., to George and Margaret (Emrick) Black. Sue graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1952. She married Raymond N. Keighley on Nov. 17, 1956, in Hutchinson. She was a devoted wife and mother, traveling extensively throughout the Far East with her military husband. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary of The American Legion. Sue is survived by her husband of 52 years, Raymond N. Keighley, of the home; one daughter, Cynthia A. Keighley of Overland Park; two sons, Cory W. Keighley of Overland Park, and Craig F. Keighley of Lawson, Mo.; and three grandchildren. Sue will be greatly missed by her family and especially her friends, known as the "Birthday Bunch". Visitation will be held Sunday, June 1, from 2 to 3 p.m., with prayers at 2:30 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66204. Graveside services will be held at Lone Star Cemetery, Pretty Prairie, Kan., at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, KS 66212-1461.
