Mary Zoss Bill born May 12, 1867. Mary married Gottlieb Bill Feb. 25, 1890. Mary worked in Bern for some time before she left for American. She was around 18 years old when she came across the waters. Her first position was with Christ Schertz. She worked about 5 years after which she married Gottlieb Bill who had been the first of the group to come to America. They lived near Roanoke and then to S. Dakota and still later to Rupert, Idaho there they took up homesteading. Gottlieb had to leave this part of the county on account of his health. He had asthma. He died out on the homestead. Then she moved to Paul, Idaho. Mary had many hardships out in the Wild West. They had no well for a long line and would have to haul water for miles for their own use and also the cattles's. No fences or trees. She could tell many stories of the West.

Obituary: Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Mrs. Bill
Last rites were conducted for Mrs. Mary Bill Tuesday at the Congragational church in Paul with the Rev. K. K. Maier and the Rev. Emil Reimer officiation.
Burial was in Rupert cemetery besides her husband, Gottlieb Bill.
Mrs. Bill was the mother of 12 children, five preceding her in death. They are Joe Mill, of Acequia; Anna Mueller, Kansas; Adolph Bill, Kansas; Albert Bill, Washington; Martha Wall, Rupert; Esther Koch and Amos Bill of Paul
Mrs. Bill, with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Wall of Rupert, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bill and Mr. and Mrs. Mueller had attended a family reunion at Roanoke, Ill, and were enroute home, reaching Rapid City, S. D. , when she was stricken with a heart attack. She was rushed to the hospital in that city but passed away on August 28.
Mrs Bill was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1867, and came to the United States in when she was 18 years of age. She was married to Gottlieb Bill in Illinois in 1890. They came to Idaho in 1913. They homesteaded a place near Minidoka, and moved to Paul in 1931.
