After graduating from Dundalk High School in 1968, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for two terms in Vietnam.
He was a meat cutter for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and traveling, but most of all enjoyed the time he spent with his granddaughter and her father.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carroll and Artice Abendschoen; and his brother, Carroll Abendschoen.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ellen; one daughter; a twin brother; a brother; a sister; one granddaughter and other relatives.
