Solemn requiem high mass for Mrs. Mary Stoeckle, mother of the Rev. Ralph J. Stoeckle, pastor of St Vincent de Paul Church, Newport, will be sung at 10 a.m. Friday in St Agnes Church, Lookout Heights, in the presence of Bishop William T. Mulloy. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft Thomas.
Mrs. Stoeckle, active in church societies, died Tuesday at her home, 6 West Crittenden Ave, Ft. Wright. She was 89 years old.
She held membership in the Altar Society of St Agnes Church, St Boniface Orphans' Society and the Tabernacle Society of Notre Dame Academy, Covington.
Besides Father Stoeckle, other survivors are three sons, William F. Stoeckle, Ft Thomas, and Louis A. Stoeckle, Cheviot, Ohio; three daughters, Miss Mary Stoeckle, supervisor in the advertising department of the Cincinnati Enquirer; Sister Mary Joan, CDP, St Ann Convent, Melbourne and Mrs. Charlotte Chalk, Ft Thomas; a sister, Sister Ann Philomena, CDP, Providence, R.I.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Stoeckle was the sister of the Rev. John Stein, who died three years ago after serving as chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 am Friday in Middendorf funeral home, 917 Main St. Covington. Friends may call there after 2 pm, Thursday.
