She was born on March 10, 1917, to William and Olive (Rutherford) Forhan at Seattle. At a young age she moved to Wenatchee where she was raised and attended school.
On Aug. 3, 1935, she married Harold J. "Grubby" Grubbs at Roslyn. They made their first home in Wenatchee until 1939 when they moved to East Wenatchee where they had since lived. Mr. Grubbs died on June 21, 1995.
Mrs. Grubbs was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Jim, Wenatchee; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Phyllis) Smith and Mrs. Gene (Karen) Doolittle, all of East Wenatchee; five brothers, William D. Forhan, Everett, Clinton D. Forhan, Bellingham, John D. Forhan, Urbana, Ohio, Tim D. Forhan, East Wenatchee, and Fred Fowler, Chelan; one sister, Virginia Kinkade, Auburn; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
