JOE ROGERS
Word had been received here Thursday evening of the sudden death of Joe Rogers, age 21, son of Mrs. S. G. Rogers of Darlington, and the news came as a severe shock. Mr. Rogers was in apparently his usual good health Wednesday, but his mother, on going to summon him Thursday morning found him dead in bed. Heart trouble is supposed to have caused his death. The deceased was in Crawfordsville Wednesday and had not complained at all of being ill.
Dr. S. G. Rogers and family lived in Newcastle for a number of years, coming here from Mooreland. They left here about twelve years ago, residing first in Indianapolis and then later to Darlington. Dr. Rogers died about one year and a half ago and was buried in Darlington.
County Treasured E. J. Rogers and wife, Tom Mowrer and wife and Mrs. Rebecca Shaffer left today to attend the funeral of the deceased, which will occur at Darlington Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made there.
