Mrs. Alberta Douglas, 78, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Jellico, died Friday at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.

Mrs. Douglas is survived by four daughters, Wilma Jean Blankenship of Newcomb, Faye Phillips of Cleveland, Bertha Newport of Sidney, and Goldie Anderson of Greenwood, Ky.; eight sons, George Douglas of Pine Knot, Ky., Estel Douglas of Newcomb, David L. Douglas, Steve Douglas and James Douglas, all of Jellico and Everette Douglas, Joe Douglas and Wayne Douglas, all of Sidney; 37 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nan Douglas and Grace Bowlin, both of Newcomb; and one brother, Floyd Rigney of Newcomb.

The funeral was Saturday at Jellico Church of God with the Rev. Robert Goins officiating. Burial was in Douglas Cemetery. Harp Funeral Home, Jellico, was in charge of arrangements.

"On her profile it says that she had four daughters; she actually had six daughters. Two of her daughters are Reba Douglas and Gracie May Douglas... they preceded her in death. They are also buried in the Douglas Cemetery. Its also states that Wayne is her son; he is actually her grandson. His mother is Reba Douglas. Wayne also has a sister named Shirley (Douglas) McCully who is also buried in the Douglas Cemetery. All of my great grandmothers children are deceased except for my Great Aunt Faye Douglas and my grandmother Bertha L.( Douglas) Newport."
