Mrs. Agnes Savchenko, 78, of South Burlington died in a local hospital late Sunday night.
She had been a long-time resident of Shelburne and was the proprietor of a nursing home in Shelburne. She was the widow of Evon Savchenko.
For the past five years, she made her home with her daughter in South Burlington.
She was born in Shelburne in 1881, the daughter of Vetol and Selina Lessor.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ishmiel (Agnes) Duprey of South Burlington and Mrs. Edward (Alice) Cassell of Burlington; two sons, Joseph Bergevin of Malletts Bay and Harry Bergevin; two sisters Mrs. Steve (Celeste) Bessette of Burlington and Mrs. Solomon (Pauline) Francis of Shelburne; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church.
Interment will be in Resurrection Park Cemetery.
St. John Vianney parishioners will meet for prayers Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visiting hours will be at the Ready Funeral Home, 261 Shelburne St., Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Arrangements are by the Ready Funeral Service in Burlington.
