Born March 4, 1910 in Montpelier to Grover and Etta Rogers Griffith, her marriage on Nov. 6, 1926 in Montpelier was to Ralph James Wikel, who preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1978.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George (Esther) Black of Anderson; a son, Robert J. Wikel of Fort Wayne; a sister, Jean Ellen Hoskins of Albany; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Kinder, five brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Montpelier with Pastor Doug Askew officiating. There will be no calling hours. Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel in Montpelier is handling arrangements.
