DALLAS - Services for Harold P. Angel, 89, will be at 10 a.m. today, May 13, 2008, in the Wildwood Chapel of Restland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Ditmore officiating. Interment will follow in Restland, with Masonic rituals by Garland Lodge No. 441.

Harold P. Angel was born September 29, 1918, in Plano, and he died May 10, 2008, in Longview.

Mr. Angel was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served aboard the U.S.S. Smith. He retired from International Harvester, Inc. and worked as a consultant with the trucking industry for several years afterward.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Reba; daughter, Beverly Averitt; and sons, Terry and Woody Angel.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Allyene Angel of Longview; son, Kyp and wife, Gee of Alpine; grandchildren, Sgt. Jason Angel serving in Iraq; Wendy, Marissa, Isaiah and Megan Angel, Steve, Rick and Mike Averitt; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Griffin; and brother-in-law, Clyde Hartline. Also surviving are his stepdaughters, Grace Shore, Elane Osteen and Kathy Branum.
