OBITUARY:
HARRY V. SNYDER

Graveside services for Harry V. Snyder, 81, of 3407 Fiftieth St., who died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Snyder was born in Perry and lived most of his life in Des Moines. He was retired as chief deputy sheriff of Polk County. He also served 24 years on the Des Moines police force. He was past master of Auburn Lodge No 592, and a member of Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, Royal Arch Masons and the Iowa Association of Chiefs of Police.

Survivors include his wife Gretchen; two step-daughters Judy Fletcher of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and Jeanine Arneson of Plover, Wis.; a sister, Hazelle Miller of St. Jospeh, Mo; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Jerry Rabienor Boys' Home.
