The year of her birth varies widely from 1883 to 1894 in different sources. Because she was married in 1897 (with her mother's written consent), the earlier year is more likely.

Her year of birth is given as 1890 on her Missouri Certificate of Death, District No. 4503, File No. 36127. The informant was her fourth husband E. L. Martin and he did not know the names of her parents.

Lucy was a daughter of Mary Ann Foster of Illinois and Jobe Acord of Illinois. She was married four times.

The license records that Lucy was under the age of eighteen and a notation on the license states that "Mary Acord gives assent."
2) Bert Edmonds:

4) Elijah Lee Martin:

Lucy Johnson of Bernie, Stoddard County, Missouri were married. (Missouri, Marriage Records 1805-2002, image at ancestry.com) Lucy was married to Elijah until her death 2 Oct 1951 in Bernie, Stoddard County, Missouri. He died Dec 1967 in Bernie, Stoddard County, Missouri.
