The Star-Mirror, Moscow, Idaho, October 14, 1915: "The many friends of B.H. Schooler, of which he had many in Moscow and through Latah county, will be pained to learn of his death at his home in Genesee last Friday. the deceased had been a sufferer of cancer and though he had been to the Mayo Bros. hospital at Rochester, Minn., for treatment, their efforts were unavailing. The deceased was prominent in business circles and was known throughout the northwest as a breeder of fine horses, having been a member of the firm of Follett and Schooler. The funeral was held at Genesee Sunday."
