Mirl Forbes Schwenke, age 88, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 1985. She was born near Chandler in Okla. Territory, and married L. O. Schwenke in Goodwell, Ok. in 1918 She and her husband were pioneer residents of the Okla. panhandle living on the farm North and West of Guymon for over 50 years. They raised a garden, and chickens and ducks. She filled her home with lovely crochet pieces, intricately crafted from thread. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis (Lou-ee) and two sons Glein, and Vernon. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leland (Juanita) Bledsoe of White Deer, Tx. and Mrs. Tom (Lorene) Murphy of Pratt, Ks. One son, Cecil Schwenke of Bethany; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was a faithful and active member of the Warr Acres Church of Nazarene until the last months.
