MRS. PRENDERGAST IS DEAD; ILL ONE MONTH

WIDOW OF ROBERT PRENDERGAST, WHO CONDUCTED STATIONARY STORE HERE MANY YEARS.

Mrs. Emma R. Prendergast, a well known and highly regarded resident of this city, died at 1 o'clock this morning at the family home, 315 Quincy avenue, after a month's illness of complications.

News of her passing came as a shock to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who had known and admired her for her many splendid characteristics. Her husband, the late R. E. Prendergast, conducted a stationary store on Washington avenue for many years. His death occurred two years ago.

Mrs. Prendergast was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was actively identified with its various women's societies. Her only immediate survivor is one daughter, Mrs. J. W. Page. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
