MRS. MISSOURI ALFORD

Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 30, at New Zion Baptist church for Mrs. Missouri Fluker Alford, 66, who died Saturday morning at Independencehospital after an extended illness. Rev. S. W. Bradham officiated. Burial was in Alford cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Odell Hooge, Mrs. Hazel Henry of Clinton, Mrs. Clyde Devane of Amite, Mrs. Idell Desmond
of Independence. Three sons, Clifton of Jackson, Percy of Amite, and Genie of Donaldsonville. Four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Newman, Mrs. Mollie Bates of Osyka, Miss., Mrs. Sallie Woodard of Kentwood, and Mrs. Effie Davidson of Chesbrough and 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
