Mrs. Clifford (Mary V.) Satterley, 90, of Gray-Wilmurt Road, died on March 12, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Satterley was born on July 8, 1920, in Canterbury, NH, a daughter of the late Archie and Annie (Rule) Bernier. She received her education in Carthage schools and was united in marriage with Clifford E. Satterley on January 1, 1959, in the Town of Ohio. Mary was a member of St. John's Church, Newport and the Gateway Senior Citizens in Ohio. She was also a member of Adirondack Unit #1118 American Legion Auxiliary, Cold Brook and Chapter #82 D.A.V. Auxiliary, Utica. Survivors besides her husband of 52 years, Clifford, include one sister, Helen Perkins of NH; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons, Jack Putnam in 1968 and Robert Putnam in 2005; and many brothers and sisters. In accordance with Mary's wishes a graveside service will take place at St. John's Cemetery, Newport in the spring. There are no calling hours. Memorials may be made to Kuyahoora Valley Ambulance, P.
